Everyone has a Wednesday. I'm sure some of you know it as hump day, but is it really if you are only working a 4 day week? I suppose if your workweek isn't Mondays to Fridays you could have a "hump" day any other day of the week!
It doesn't really matter, now does it? As long as we are up and doing something meaningful this week! Even it's volunteering your time somewhere. That in itself is so rewarding.

Looking At a New Day
We start anew after yesterdays remembering. We remember the wars past, the men and women who fought and died for us, the ongoing wars in the world now. We need to know now more than ever where we have been and where we are headed.
We strive for peace, but at what costs?

Fresh
We walked out and about all this past week. Yes it was raining a little but we dressed for the weather. We chose to walk through city streets because it was dark and the streets are illuminated with street lamps. Not too many so you get the feeling of being in a spot light, but just enough to light your way.
The path we walk is not only along well traveled roads but with forest beside. Let yourself go for a minute here, sit back and imagine the aroma of fresh fallen rain. Especially when it falls onto the forest floor stirring up the mulch made from previous years of fallen needles and leaves.

Remember
Today is Remembrance Day. A day to remember why we have freedom.
How our family and friends fought in wars to save us from a fate we do not know or cannot conceive how it would have been. Life as we know it now is not so bad. Take away a few of the luxuries, hot water, dry towels, clean water, fresh healthy food and what have you got? We really need to bring a whole lot of gratefulness into our lives. Do we truly appreciate what we have right now?
Think about it.

Outside
I really like being outside in the fresh air. I really like it. One of my favorite places to walk/run is whats known around here is the Dyke walk. We walk along a paved path, following the river. The path winds its way along through tall fir trees, some cedar trees and some wild blackberry bushes.
This is especially fortuitous during late summer. One is able to stop for a hastily picked treat! I say hastily in case you are walk/running and timing yourself!
During the fall you may even see salmon swimming upstream to spawn. That's really cool!
We actually saw a mink or a weasel scurry down to the water on Sunday when we were walking there.

Starting Again
#starting again
I did take up trying to run.
I felt so awkward.
I could barely walk for thirty minutes, let alone run.
Picking up my feet off the pavement was SO hard to do.
Each day I move faster and run better, not much further tho, but at least I'm able and I'm trying!

Lost
I see I've lost my chance of being a track star!
I've lost many chances of being able to move faster. Move, so that my heart rate rises! I believe they call it an aerobic workout! I know all I have to do is start. And don't get me wrong, I will try.
I will try to walk faster than I have before. Hey, I may even take up jogging!
I may have lost, but it seems I'm found as well...

Walking
I wanted to post a video of my footsteps as I walk along the path. But that is so difficult when you are alone.
Alone. I should say when you are by yourself, because alone sounds so forlorn.
